Musical Director

Rachel Cameron

We are thrilled to announce that Assiniboine Chorus has a new and exciting Musical Director.

Rachel Cameron is a Winnipeg pianist, singer and music director whose passions have allowed her to explore many styles and genres of music.

She holds a Bachelor of Theatre and Film from the University of Winnipeg and has extensive training in piano, theatre, voice and collaborative musicianship. Rachel is currently the music director at St. Paul’s Anglican Church and has worked with many church, community and school choirs across the city. Pre-Covid, Rachel was able to pursue music direction for the theatre full time and was set to helm the Globe Theatre’s production of Billy Elliot. Other recent credits include: Funhome (Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre), Guys and Dolls (Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra) and Falsettos (Winnipeg Jewish Theatre/Dry Cold Productions). As one of Winnipeg’s primary vocal coaches and audition pianists, Rachel collaborates with performers of all ages, from five year old dancers and high school drama students through to University graduates and members of the professional theatre and music community.
